Airgap install¶
Airgap mode is for hosts that can't reach the public
internet, and specifically can't reach our container
registry at registry.eq.gy. Common examples: secure
government environments, regulated banking infrastructure,
research networks behind a perimeter, isolated VPCs with
egress controls.
The bundle ships with the container images embedded
inside it, so the host never needs to pull from
registry.eq.gy.
Once the bundle is on the host (via your usual sneaker-net
or transfer-station process), the install runs entirely
local.
The admin console you'll spend your days in is the same one every other deployment model uses; only the install surface changes.
How to get an airgap bundle¶
Airgap bundles are produced on request because they're larger (the container images are embedded) and tied to a specific component-version pin. To request one:
- Email [email protected] with your version target (e.g. "the current stable") and a rough target host OS and architecture.
- We'll generate the bundle, host it for download (or post it to whatever transfer mechanism you use), and walk through the embedded-image-load step on a short call.
The install then mirrors the Docker quickstart flow with one extra step at the start: loading the embedded images into the local Docker daemon.
Where to go next¶
- Install index: comparison of all four deployment models.
- Docker quickstart: the network-connected version of this flow.
- Getting started: what to do inside the console once you're signed in.
